The National Human Rights Commission has sought a report from Bareilly police regarding the disappearance of 65-year-old Mahmood Beg during a probe into alleged forced religious conversions. This follows an Allahabad High Court order for Beg’s production and summons for SSP Anurag Arya. Beg’s wife claims police detained him without a warrant.
