Vax, sterilisation data show UP has strays dog menace in check; 2.84 lakh treated, 17 ABC centres set up

Uttar Pradesh’s urban development department has significantly advanced urban safety and animal welfare through comprehensive ABC and anti-rabies vaccination programs. These initiatives, implemented across 17 municipal corporations, sterilized and vaccinated 2,84,641 stray dogs. The department also issued 5,333 pet dog licenses, promoting responsible pet ownership and urging citizens to report aggressive dogs to a dedicated helpline.
