Meta, the parent company of Facebook, continues its AI expansion. It has acquired WaveForms AI, an AI startup specializing in detecting emotion in audio. WaveForms AI was founded by Alexis Conneau and Coralie Lemaitre in December 2024. The founders will join Meta’s Superintelligence Labs. This acquisition will help Meta make voice assistants more human-like.
