Invoking criminal law for recovery of money is abuse of law: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has criticized the misuse of criminal law for civil disputes, particularly in money recovery cases. It expressed concern over High Courts ignoring previous rulings and emphasized that a breach of contract doesn’t automatically constitute cheating unless fraudulent intent is proven from the start.
