Fake teacher IDs, Rs 30L bribes: How Shalarth IDs became tools of graft; inside govt teacher portal scam

A massive fraud has been uncovered in Maharashtra’s education system, involving the misuse of the Shalarth portal. Senior education officers allegedly created fake teacher IDs and hired unqualified individuals for bribes, siphoning off an estimated Rs 2,000-3,000 crore. A Special Investigation Team has been formed to probe the scam, with arrests and suspensions already underway.
