Narayan Baramani, the police officer involved in a controversial incident with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, has been appointed as DCP of Belagavi city. Baramani had sought voluntary retirement following the alleged ‘slap gesture’ during a Congress rally. He later withdrew his request after discussions with the CM and Home Minister.
