‘Accidental death’ in Gujarat turns out to be murder by same-sex partner

A 19-year-old allegedly murdered his 24-year-old gay partner in Surat’s Katargam on February 8, disguising it as an accidental death. Upset over the victim’s involvement with other men and a video of their sexual act, the accused strangled him with a scarf and set the body inside a machine. Police investigations and CCTV evidence led to his confession.
