A tragic incident occurred in Eluru district. Three tribal youth drowned in Pogondi reservoir. The victims are Made Devendra Kumar, Tellam Seetharamaraju and Tellam Kishore. They went to the reservoir for bathing. High water flow due to heavy rains caused the accident. Two others survived. Police registered a case and are investigating. Minister Kolusu Parthasaradhi expressed shock over the incident.
