In a historic event for Zoo Miami, Goliath, a 135-year-old Galapagos tortoise, has become a first-time father. After arriving at the zoo in 1981, Goliath successfully hatched an egg from a clutch laid by Sweet Pea, his mate. Zoo Miami has applied to the Guinness Book of World Records to recognize Goliath as the oldest first-time father.
