‘Blood-stained suitcase, locked padlock’: How post-quake crowd caught mother-daughter dumping body in Kolkata ghat

Two women, Falguni Ghosh and her mother Arati, were apprehended at Kumartuli ghat, Kolkata, for attempting to dispose of a body in the Hooghly River. The body, identified as Sumita Ghosh, was found inside a trolley bag. The accused are believed to have killed her over personal or property disputes. A murder investigation is underway.
