Shyam Benegal’s ‘Manthan’ starring Smita Patil, Naseeruddin Shah, Amrish Puri, to be screened at Academy Museum

Shyam Benegal’s acclaimed film Manthan, produced by GCMMF’s dairy farmers, will be screened at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles in March 2025. The 1976 film, inspired by Dr Verghese Kurien’s dairy cooperative movement, has been restored in 4K and previously featured at the Cannes Film Festival.
