In a significant move, the Allahabad High Court has announced the transfer of 582 judicial officers across Uttar Pradesh in an extensive administrative reshuffle. The transferred officers include 236 Additional District and Sessions Judges, 207 Civil Judges (Senior Division), and 139 Civil Judges (Junior Division). This reshuffle is part of the Annual Transfer-2025, with the order issued by Satish Kumar Pushkar, the Joint Registrar of the Allahabad High Court.

Kanpur Sees Highest Number of Transfers

Kanpur has witnessed the highest number of transfers, with 13 judges reassigned to new postings. Aligarh and Bareilly follow closely, with 11 and 5 judicial officers transferred, respectively. This large-scale reshuffling aims to streamline judicial functions and improve the efficiency of the judiciary in the state.

Prominent Transfers, Justice Ravi Kumar Diwakar to Chitrakoot

Among the prominent transfers is Justice Ravi Kumar Diwakar, who gained widespread attention for his ruling on the controversial Gyanvapi Mosque survey case in Varanasi. Previously stationed in Bareilly, Diwakar has now been transferred to the Chitrakoot District Court. Known for referencing religious texts such as the Ramcharitmanas and the Geeta in his rulings, Justice Diwakar has made headlines for his bold judicial decisions. His previous actions, including issuing a non-bailable warrant against Islamic leader Maulana Tauqeer Raza, have garnered public attention.
