Gold and silver prices rose today, 23 September. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold increased by ₹130 to ₹1.52 lakh. One kilogram of silver became costlier by ₹2,366, reaching ₹2.35 lakh. Gold has become ₹19,000 costlier this year Gold and silver prices have continued to fluctuate this year. Meanwhile, silver was priced at ₹2.30 lakh per kilogram on 31 December 2025 and has now reached ₹2.35 lakh. During this period, gold and silver also hit all-time highs of ₹1.76 lakh and ₹3.86 lakh, respectively, on 29 January. Gold could reach ₹1.70 lakh and silver ₹3 lakh by December Anindya Banerjee, Senior Vice-President and Head of Commodity Research at Kotak Securities, says gold has the support of ordinary investors as well as central banks around the world, such as the RBI, which are continuously buying gold. Gold will continue to rise even in difficult conditions ahead. If conditions improve, silver could also see a surge. Based on the outlook currently emerging, the price of gold could reach ₹1.70 lakh by December. The price of silver could also rise to ₹3 lakh.
