Between January and June 2026, TMTG’s total net loss reaches ₹6,118 crore, against revenue of only ₹23.75 crore. This means the company’s six-month loss is around 258 times its total revenue. In a report filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the company says its three-month loss has increased significantly compared with the same period last year. However, its revenue rises by 89% during the period. ₹1800 crore loss from digital assets According to the company, the biggest reason for its loss was losses related to digital assets, investments made by pledging them, and shares. The company recorded unrealized losses of ₹1,809 crore related to these. Additionally, interest of about ₹111 crore and stock-based payment of ₹77 crore were also added to the company’s expenses. Where did the earnings come from? Almost all of TMTG’s earnings came from its media business. This included approximately ₹13.6 crore from advertising and ₹1.7 crore from subscriptions. The company’s main social media platform is Truth Social. Additionally, it operates the video streaming service Truth+ and the fintech brand Truth.Fi. The company has also expanded into the cryptocurrency business in the past year. New service Truth API gives companies faster access to Trump’s posts From August 1, TMTG launched a service called Truth API. This gives investors and companies faster access to posts published on Truth Social. The company’s interim CEO, Kevin McGurn, stated that so far 10 companies have become customers of this service. They are paying fees ranging from approximately ₹57 lakh to ₹95 lakh per month. However, concerns about conflicts of interest have also been raised regarding this service. This is because Trump’s Truth Social posts could impact financial markets. Truth Social’s visits decreased by more than a third Truth Social was launched in 2022, but it lags significantly behind larger platforms like X and Facebook. The New York Times, citing data from online tracking company Similarweb, reported that Truth Social’s visits in July 2026 decreased by more than a third compared to July of last year.
