The Indian stock markets extended losses on Friday, 24 July, 2026, as the US-Iran war spread across West Asia. The 30-company Sensex dropped over 800 points and fell below the 76,000 mark. While, the 50-company Nifty lost 200 points to 23,653 level. Sectorally, on the NSE, all indices mostly fell with Nifty Realty emerging as the biggest loser, shedding 1.87%. Crude oil crosses $100/barrel mark Brent crude has crossed $100 per barrel today. Experts believe that if tensions between the US-Israel and Iran escalate further, oil prices could go up to $120 per barrel. Its impact could be seen on petrol and diesel in India.
