A case of assault on a 17-year-old minor over suspicion of scooter theft has come to light in Khilchipur area of Rajgarh district. The accused allegedly tied his hands behind his back with a rope, removed his shirt and thrashed him brutally over the theft allegation. During the assault, people also recorded videos on their mobile phones, which surfaced on Friday. Police have registered a case of assault against the accused based on the minor’s complaint. At the same time, a theft case has also been registered against the minor on the complaint of the scooter owner. Caught when the scooter ran out of petrol According to police, a scooter was stolen from the house of BJP leader Vijay alias Bunty Sharma, who lives opposite the SDM residence in Khilchipur, on Wednesday night. After the incident, he informed his acquaintances and nearby residents, who searched for the vehicle throughout the night. On Thursday morning, the 17-year-old minor reached Hinotiya village on the same scooter. It is alleged that the scooter ran out of petrol on the way. When he went to a shop to get a can of petrol and allegedly tried to flee, villagers caught him. After identifying the scooter, they informed Vijay Sharma. People recorded videos as minor cried in pain It is alleged that before police reached the spot, some people tied the minor’s hands behind his back, removed his shirt and assaulted him in the name of questioning him about the scooter theft. Several people recorded videos of the incident. In the videos, the minor can be seen crying in pain while some people question him about the alleged scooter theft. Minor alleges inappropriate act, police investigating After receiving information, a Dial-112 team reached the spot and rescued the minor from the crowd before taking him to Khilchipur police station. His family members later reached the station. Police conducted his medical examination, which revealed injury marks on his body. The family told police that the minor is not mentally stable and is undergoing treatment. The minor also told police that he had come from Rajgarh to Khilchipur and stayed at a roadside dhaba during the night. He alleged that a person there forced him to remove his clothes and behaved inappropriately with him. Police are also investigating this allegation.
