BJP MLA Ghanshyam Chandravanshi from Kalapipal announced that he will not wear shoes or sandals until the roads in his assembly constituency are built. He made the declaration from a public stage in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who assured that the roads would be constructed and said the MLA need not give up his footwear. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was in Kalapipal, Shajapur, on Thursday to attend a farmers’ conference. Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar and MP Mahendra Solanki were also present on the stage at the Krishi Upaj Mandi complex. During the program, Chandravanshi addressed the public and read out a list of demands. He demanded the upgradation of 48 roads, approval for 16 new roads, a new revenue building, and the opening of an Art and Science college in Arniakala. He said, If 16 roads are not approved or their construction is not completed, I will not wear shoes or sandals. Responding to the MLA, Chief Minister Yadav said, Not 16, but 17 roads will be given. Our shoes and slippers are for protecting us from thorns and for running. MLA ji does not need to give up his shoes and slippers. One should be careful with their words and speech. Let this work be for the Congressmen. The government is with you for good and honest work. The Chief Minister further said, I have taken this paper. I will not read the names, but I am approving all the demands by calling you. There will be no shortage in development works. Along with this, the CM also inaugurated and performed the groundbreaking ceremony for development works worth ₹29 crore. At Jethra Jod, several workers, including Youth Congress District Officer Chirag Parmar, were stopped. While going from Arniakala towards Kalapipal, former Congress MLA Kunal Chaudhary was also not allowed to proceed by the police.
