jasprit-bumrah-trains-hard-with-red-ball-ahead-of-england-odis:pacer-keen-to-make-strong-50-over-comeback-after-3-years

Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has hit the training ground, preparing hard for the ODI series against England. Bumrah was rested for the T20I series against Ireland and England and was last seen in action in IPL 2026 for the Mumbai Indians. Bumrah would be keen to make a strong comeback to 50-over cricket after a long gap of three years. His last ODI appearance was way back at the 2023 ODI World Cup final in Ahmedabad, where India had lost to Australia. Bumrah shares pictures of training with red ball In an Instagram post, the 32-year-old shared pictures of himself sweating it out in training with the red ball. He captioned the post with a bat and ball emoji. The photos of his training went viral on social media. Bumrah would be gunning to bounce back to form after a forgettable IPL 2026 season where he bagged just four wickets in 13 matches while conceding runs at an economy rate of 8.36. Prior to IPL 2026, Bumrah had starred in a sensational campaign for India in the T20 World Cup, where he was the joint-highest wicket-taker with 14 wickets. Earlier, Bumrah had shared glimpses of his training with Gujarat bowler Chintan Gaja. In another Instagram post on 23 June, he was bowling in the nets, working hard to regain form ahead of the important assignments that lay ahead. The premier fast bowler would be part of the Asian Games 2026 as well, which will be played in T20 format. Bumrah’s next red-ball assignment is likely to be the two Tests against Sri Lanka, which was officially confirmed earlier this week. Both Tests are part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27. Virat Kohli’s training video with Sanjay Bangar goes viral Meanwhile, an undated video of Virat Kohli arriving at training has gone viral on social media. The clip showed Kohli greeting Sanjay Bangar at training. Kohli would be looking to make a triumphant return in India colours after missing the ODI series against Afghanistan due to a hamstring injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had included Kohli in the ODI squad against England but his inclusion was subject to fitness clearance. However, reports suggested that Kohli was given a fitness clearance before the three-match series which starts on 14 July.
