A woman named Lalo Giri, along with an acquaintance, reached his residence and introduced herself as Subodh’s wife, questioning his alleged relationship with another woman. The dispute, which began outside the house, soon spilled onto the road and escalated into a physical altercation. Police from Dial-112 reached the spot and took both parties to the police station, where Subodh and Lalo submitted written complaints against each other, levelling serious allegations. The woman has accused Subodh of marrying her under false pretences by claiming he was unmarried, and later living with another woman despite already being married. Subodh, on the other hand, has claimed that the woman is already married and has been blackmailing him for several years to extort lakhs of rupees. She said she met Subodh Kumar in 2019, and their friendship gradually turned into a relationship. She alleged that Subodh initially misrepresented himself as unmarried. Trusting him, she entered into what she described as a marriage agreement on stamp paper. The two lived together as husband and wife for nearly three years. She further claimed she later discovered that Subodh was already married and that his first wife was living with his parents. When complained, he started arguing and beating Lalo alleged that Subodh neither provided her maintenance nor fulfilled responsibilities. He also claimed their divorce has not taken place. He said there was no question of marriage, adding that he never conducted a court marriage nor accepted her as his wife. Demanded 10 lakh rupees in the name of settlement in court Subodh further alleged that a man accompanying Lalo had previously met him at Dabra court and demanded ₹10 lakh to settle the dispute. He claimed he refused to pay as the matter is already under judicial consideration. He also said the woman has been following him across postings, including Morena, Kurawar, and now Jeerapur, to pressure him and extort money. He added that he is under severe mental stress and has been unable to eat properly or go to work.
