A 30-year-old man was found dead outside his rented room in Gwalior on Saturday morning. His blood-soaked body had several serious injury marks, and police suspect he was murdered. The incident took place in Jahangir Katra under the Gwalior police station area. The deceased has been identified as Dinesh Singh Patel alias Rocky, son of Kishan Patel. He worked in a private job and lived in a rented room near Patel Dharamshala in Jahangir Katra. Local residents found him lying in a pool of blood on the road outside his room and informed the police. Police reached the spot, sent the body for a post-mortem and called the forensic team to examine the scene. Investigators have also collected CCTV footage from before the incident and are searching for several suspects. Dispute occurred at night Police investigation revealed that on Friday night around 1:30 AM, Dinesh had a dispute with some youths near Bhairav Temple. It is alleged that during the dispute, he was brutally beaten with sticks and iron rods. He died due to serious injuries. Returned to the room at 2:30 AM During the investigation, the police found that Dinesh had returned to his room around 2 to 2:30 AM. He had asked a nearby tenant for water. According to the tenant, he was in an intoxicated state at that time. After giving him water, he went to sleep. In the morning, Dinesh’s body was found outside the room. Important clues found from CCTV footage Police have obtained CCTV camera footage from near the crime scene. In the footage, some youths are seen going towards Dinesh with iron rods in their hands. According to the police, some suspects have been identified during the investigation. Raids were conducted at their homes, but they were found to be absconding. Police are continuously raiding possible hideouts in search of them. A death inquest has been registered in the matter and an investigation is underway. Initial investigation has revealed a late-night dispute.
