The High Court, while hearing the case of Shivpuri’s ₹111 crore sewerage project, made extremely strict comments on the state government’s functioning. The court said that despite the massive wastage of 111 crore rupees and the matter being pending for one and a half years, the state government is completely unaware and in a state of deep sleep (hibernation). Referring to the affidavit of the Additional Chief Secretary (Urban Administration) of the government, the court said that this project is a clear example of poor planning and poor implementation, in which, despite spending a huge amount of money, the objective could not be fulfilled.
