In Chhindwara city’s Mahila Thana area, a case of ‘bad touch’ (molestation) on a seven-year-old girl has come to light. Police have rounded up seven minors aged 9, 10, and 11 years on charges of committing this act. Currently, the investigation is ongoing and the medical report is being awaited. The incident occurred on Monday, 29 June. The victim girl had gone to a social event near her house. During this time, some minor children present there lured her and took her to a deserted place behind a nearby building. It is alleged that the children committed ‘bad touch’ on her there. Told the entire incident to family members after reaching home After the incident, the girl reached home in a very frightened and scared state. She narrated the entire incident to her family members while crying. The family members were shocked after hearing the girl’s account. Without delay, they took her to the Mahila Thana and filed a written complaint about the entire matter. Police took action immediately after receiving the complaint Women’s police station in-charge Aruna Wahane said that legal action has been initiated immediately upon receiving the complaint from the family. Taking the matter seriously, an immediate investigation was started and by cordoning off the area, all seven children reported to be involved in the incident were rounded up.
