An attempt to circulate a fake ₹200 note in Indore proved costly for a young man after a restaurant owner’s alertness led to his arrest. Following interrogation, police also arrested his accomplice and recovered fake currency worth around ₹44,000 along with a printing machine used to produce the notes. According to the Gandhi Nagar police, the incident took place on 25 June when Yashwant Yadav, owner of Sanwariya Restaurant in Rajnagar, became suspicious after a customer tried to pay for tea and snacks with a ₹200 note. With the help of an employee, Ashish Chauhan, he detained the youth and informed the police. Were given to the young man to circulate in the market The arrested young man stated his name as Deepak Patel and address as Ataheda (Depalpur). Upon searching, 4 thousand rupees worth of fake notes were found in his possession. During interrogation, Deepak revealed that these fake notes were given to him by Sanjay, son of Mahesh Vaishnav, who lives in Singapore Township. Following this, the police arrested Sanjay. During the search, approximately ₹40 thousand worth of fake notes and a printing machine for printing notes were seized from Sanjay. According to the police, Sanjay had given Deepak the fake notes to circulate in the market. Khandwa STF also caught him According to the police, the main accused, Sanjay Vaishnav, has been caught before in a fake currency case. He was arrested by the Khandwa STF. After being released on bail from jail, he again started the same illegal business. Now the police are also investigating his entire network and other associates.
