A recovery agent died after falling from the building of a private finance company in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna on Friday afternoon. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced. Following the death, the victim’s mother broke down as she clung to her son’s body. The incident took place around 2 pm at a building on AB Road. The deceased has been identified as Sachin Sen, a resident of Lusan Ka Bagh, who worked as a recovery agent with a private finance company. After the incident, his family accused company officials and employees of illegally confining and harassing him. They later placed his body on Hanuman Chowk and staged a road blockade in protest. See pictures related to the accident… Sachin was a recovery agent at Shriram Finance Family members said Sachin Sen had been working as a recovery agent with Shriram Finance for the past two years. Three days before the incident, he had left home saying he was attending a meeting with senior officials who had arrived from Gwalior and would return once it was over. The family remained in contact with him over the phone during this period. They said they had spoken to him shortly before the incident on Friday. Sachin only told them that he was “with sir” and would call back later. A short while later, the family was informed that he had fallen from the building. Family’s allegation – Pressure was being created for money The deceased’s brother, Manish Sen, alleged that some company officials and employees had been repeatedly pressuring Sachin to arrange money. He claimed that an official from Gwalior and an employee identified as Halim had been telling him to arrange money from anywhere. According to the family, the constant mental pressure led to the incident. He was kept captive in the office Manish Sen further alleged that Sachin had informed the family over the phone that he was being held inside the office and was not being allowed to leave. He said his brother had been trying to get out. The family suspects that he either jumped from the building while trying to escape or was pushed. Manager’s phone switched off, accused of absconding The family also alleged that the company’s manager fled after the incident and has since switched off his mobile phone, raising further suspicion. They have demanded the immediate arrest of the manager and the officials concerned, along with the registration of a murder case. Blocked road by placing the body Protesting against the incident, family members and local residents placed Sachin’s body on Hanuman Chowk and blocked the road. The protesters demanded the arrest of those responsible and the registration of a murder case. Traffic remained disrupted for some time. SDM Shivani Pandey, DSP Anand Kumar Rai, the Tehsildar, the Cantonment police station in-charge and a police team reached the spot. Administrative officials spoke to the family in an attempt to calm the situation. Police said- All allegations will be investigated Additional SP Prashant Singh Suman said Sachin Sen was brought to the district hospital after falling from the building, where doctors declared him dead. He said police are investigating the case from every possible angle. The allegations made by the family against company officials and employees are also being examined. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
