A young woman from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, rejected a marriage proposal from a young man from Udaipur. Angered by this, the young man created fake wedding and honeymoon photos using AI and posted them on social media. The accused also printed fake baby shower invitation cards for the young woman. These cards mentioned giving silver coins to guests, so that maximum people would attend the event. The accused also distributed the cards throughout the entire colony through hawkers. Not only this, he booked 500 taxis and bikes online and sent them to the young woman’s house. The victim filed a complaint about this entire matter with the Madhya Pradesh Women’s Commission and accused the young man of harassing her and her family. Recently, she recorded her statement before the commission and demanded strict action against the accused. Young woman made these 5 serious allegations against the young man 1. Started harassing with calls and messages The young woman said- My sister had created a profile on Jeevansathi dot com for marriage. During this time, she talked with a young man from Udaipur, Rajasthan. Both of them also met once in the presence of the family, but when the young man’s behavior seemed suspicious, the family refused to take the relationship forward. The young woman said- After this, the young man started harassing with continuous calls and messages. Fed up, I blocked his number in July 2025. Despite this, he kept trying to contact me from different numbers and also started harassing other family members. 2. Cab drivers also harassed along with family The victim alleged that in January 2026, the youth continuously made bookings through Ola, Uber and Rapido to her home address. In a single day, around 500 taxis and bikes reached my house. The accused booked long-distance rides to Ujjain. Hoping for higher earnings, drivers accepted bookings from far and wide, which caused trouble not only to the family but also to the cab drivers. 3. Created fake profile after being blocked The young woman claims that after being blocked, the accused created a new fake profile using someone else’s photograph. Through this, he kept trying to find out whether I was in talks for any other relationship or not. After the complaint was registered, the concerned profile was removed. 4. Mention of giving silver coins to guests in the card The young woman alleged that the accused also got fake invitation cards printed for her baby shower, which mentioned giving silver coins to guests, so that maximum people would attend the event. Later, he also got the cards distributed throughout the colony through hawkers. The young woman stated – she has filed a complaint about this entire matter with the Women’s Commission. Recently, she has recorded her statements before the commission and demanded strict action against the accused. Currently, the commission is investigating this matter. 5. Posted AI-generated pictures on social media The young woman stated that after the complaint was filed, the accused created fake pictures of her wedding and honeymoon with the help of AI and posted them on social media. Cyber expert says- creating morphed images is a violation of privacy According to cyber expert Shringarita Khare, creating fake or morphed images of a person with the help of AI is a violation of their privacy. This can cause mental stress and damage to the reputation of the victim. According to her, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act (IT Act) have provisions for action in such cases. If a person repeatedly books cabs using someone else’s name or mobile number, it can be considered online harassment.
