Before the T20I series against India, Ireland and England have announced their respective squads. Ireland have appointed wicketkeeper-batsman Lorcan Tucker as the new captain of the T20I team. The 29-year-old Tucker will replace Paul Stirling, who will step down from captaincy after this year’s T20 World Cup. His first assignment will be the two-match T20I series against India, to be held on 26 and 28 June at Stormont ground in Belfast. Stirling is out of the team due to injury.
