Before the T20I series against India, Ireland and England have announced their respective squads. Ireland have appointed wicketkeeper-batsman Lorcan Tucker as the new captain of the T20I team. The 29-year-old Tucker will replace Paul Stirling, who will step down from captaincy after this year’s T20 World Cup. His first assignment will be the two-match T20I series against India, to be held on 26 and 28 June at Stormont ground in Belfast. Stirling is out of the team due to injury. Tucker has previously captained the team in Stirling’s absence during the T20 World Cup as well. 5 Ireland Bowlers Injured Ahead of the India series, the Ireland team is grappling with injuries.
