In a tragic road accident in the Narwar area of Ujjain on Monday morning, three labourers riding a motorcycle were hit by a dumper, leaving one dead on the spot and two others seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to different hospitals for treatment. According to Narwar police, the three labourers identified as Dharmendra Sherwal (39), Kalu Nagvanshi (35) and Roshan (36), all residents of Narwar, were heading to Ujjain for work. They had left home together on a single motorcycle. Accident occurred while crossing the four-lane The accident took place near Semaliya Fanta while the trio was crossing the four-lane road. A speeding dumper bearing registration number MP-04-ZK-3751, coming from the Dewas side, hit their motorcycle with great force. The impact was so severe that all three riders came under the dumper. Dharmendra Sherwal died on the spot, while Kalu Nagvanshi and Roshan sustained critical injuries. Treatment of both injured continues at hospital Kalu Nagvanshi, who was in serious condition, has been referred to Amaltas Hospital in Dewas. Roshan is undergoing treatment at Charak Hospital in Ujjain. Villagers staged a protest Following the incident, anger spread among local residents. Villagers staged a protest and raised slogans on the Dewas road for some time. They demanded strict action against the dumper driver. Police pacified the situation Narwar police reached the spot after being informed. The protest was calmed after police assured strict action against the accused driver. The dumper has been seized, and a search for the driver is underway.
