Extensive security and logistical arrangements have been put in place across Madhya Pradesh for NEET 2026 re-exam, the country’s largest re-examination for medical admissions. The exam is being held at 32 centres in Bhopal, while a three-tier security system under CISF surveillance has been implemented in Narmadapuram. In Dewas, exam materials were transported to centres under tight security. Several candidates faced last-minute difficulties, including changes in their allotted exam centres. A student who travelled from Jhabua to Indore said preparing again after the earlier exam was cancelled had been a major challenge. Ahead of the examination, security checks and student movement intensified at centres across the state. The National Testing Agency (NTA) and district administrations have enforced strict guidelines for the exam. Candidates are not allowed to carry mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, smartwatches or any other electronic gadgets inside the examination centres. See pictures Candidates in religious attire asked to arrive early The National Testing Agency (NTA) has advised candidates to reach examination centres well in advance, especially those wearing traditional or religious attire, as additional security checks may take more time. GPS tracking, biometric verification and CCTV surveillance For the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, the NTA has implemented enhanced security measures. Vehicles transporting exam materials are equipped with GPS tracking and escorted by CRPF personnel. All centres are under CCTV surveillance and equipped with Aadhaar-based biometric verification systems, along with additional biometric machines and staff. Candidates are permitted to carry only transparent water bottles inside the centres. Help booths set up at railway atations To assist candidates appearing for the NEET-UG re-exam, special help booths have been set up at railway stations in Bhopal, Vidisha, Narmadapuram (Hoshangabad), Guna and Ashoknagar. These booths are providing information on exam centre locations, routes, transport options such as buses and auto-rickshaws, and other essential details. Medical students’ leave cancelled The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed all medical colleges and institutions to cancel students’ leave on June 20 and 21.
