A seed businessman died in a road accident while returning to Indore after visiting Mahakal. The accident occurred near the Garud Bypass Bridge in the Nagjhiri police station area on the Ujjain-Dewas road when the car’s front tire burst, causing it to lose control and crash into a divider. Police have launched an investigation. The deceased, Mani Kutty (31), owner of Eterna Company, was originally from Visakhapatnam and ran a seed business from Bengaluru. He had recently returned from South Africa and had come to Ujjain with his Indore-based dealer Om Dhakad to offer prayers at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple between 12 pm and 1 pm on Saturday. They were heading to Indore in a Skoda car driven by the company’s accountant, Balkrishna, when the accident occurred. The dealer and driver sustained serious injuries and are undergoing treatment, while Kutty’s post-mortem will be conducted today. Balance lost due to tire burst Suddenly, the car’s front left tire burst in the Dewas bypass area. This caused the car to lose its balance. The driver tried to control the vehicle, but due to high speed, the car collided with the divider. After the accident, people nearby pulled the injured out of the car and took them to the hospital for treatment, where the seed businessman died. Family informed by mobile alert Car driver Balkrishna said that after the tire burst, the car became completely uncontrollable, and the accident could not be avoided. He also said that the company owner had deep faith in Baba Mahakal and had been regularly visiting Ujjain for darshan for many years. After the accident, the mobile phone’s emergency alert feature was activated, immediately informing the family members about the incident. Upon receiving the information, the family members reached the hospital the same night. Family came to know through SOS Kutty had an iPhone with the SOS feature turned on. As soon as the accident happened, an SMS reached Kutty’s brother, and he left Visakhapatnam the same night and reached Ujjain.
