Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) held its 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM), on Friday, 19 June, 2026. RIL, chairman and Managing Director (MD), Mukesh Ambani announced several decisions outlaying future roadmap of the oil to data conglomerate. While, Reliance Foundation, chairperson and founder, Nita Ambani, made several announcements in the fields of education and environment with humanitarian causes. One of these announcements catered to setting up of a private university in Maharashtra. We have received approval from the Government of Maharashtra to establish a State Private University. She added that the new world-class university will provide different types of courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, among others. Reliance to establish a new medical city Nita Ambani further said that Reliance will establish a medical city. She added that the oil to data conglomerate will modify 7 Hills Hospital. “Seven Hills Hospital is envisioned to be one of Mumbai’s largest hospitals with a planned capacity of 1,500 beds, leading in clinical research, cancer care, emergency and trauma services, organ transplantation, and neuro-degenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s,” said Nita Ambani. Nita Ambani: Reliance will build Coastal Road Gardens in Mumbai The Reliance Foundation, chairperson also said that the oil to data conglomerate will build a humongous garden in Mumbai, which will have sports facilities, tree museum, etc that will give Mumbaikars a fresh area of breathing space, giving them relief from pollution. Spread across 130 acres, the Coastal Road Gardens will be home to more than 60,000 trees.
