Virat Kohli is on track to make his ODI comeback as he continues to recover from the hamstring injury he suffered during the IPL 2026 final. Virat missed the ODI series against Afghanistan and is recovering from the hamstring issue. The legendary cricketer was recently snapped spending some quality time with his family in London. According to Times of India, Kohli has already begun his rehab, and he remains on track to make his comeback in India colours during the ODI series against England next month. The squad for the England ODI series will be announced by the BCCI’s selection committee later this week, the report claimed. Virat Kohli to make India comeback after IPL Virat last played in Indian colours on 18 January in Indore against New Zealand. Having retired from Test and T20Is, Kohli played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, helping them win a second consecutive IPL trophy. The TOI report claimed Virat is due to report to the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence, wherein his fitness will be assessed further. If he gets the green light, he should be picked for the England ODI series. India will visit the UK where they will play a 3-match ODI series from 14 to 19 July. Kohli, now 37, consulted the renowned surgeon Dr Dinshaw Pardiwalla, who is BCCI’s consultant orthopaedic surgeon. He got injured during the IPL 2026 final after scoring 75 off 42 balls as he helped RCB chase down Gujarat Titans’ target of 156 runs to secure their second consecutive IPL crown.
