Two people were killed and several others injured after a newly purchased Scorpio SUV met with an accident on the Indore-Bhopal highway near Semli Bari village in Dewas district on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Mayuresh Garg (38), son of Santosh Garg, and Sangeeta Agrawal (51), wife of Sunil Agrawal. According to preliminary information, the two were related as nephew and aunt. Police said the family was travelling from Indore to Bhopal after taking delivery of the new Scorpio when the vehicle crashed near Semli Bari village in the Jawar area, ahead of Sonkachh. The impact of the accident was severe, resulting in the deaths of Mayuresh and Sangeeta on the spot, while several other occupants sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have launched an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. Scorpio overturned after going out of control
According to preliminary information, the Scorpio vehicle suddenly went out of control and overturned. Seriously injured Mayuresh and Sangita were brought to Sonkachh Civil Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared them dead. Other people injured in the accident have been referred to a higher center for better treatment after primary care. As soon as information about the incident was received, police and ambulance reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations.
