Police said the woman had married in Orchha in April this year but was unwilling to move to her matrimonial home. On June 15, she was allegedly assaulted by members of her own family and later filed a complaint at the police station against her father and one of her brothers. About an hour later, at around 4 p.m., Prabhan was allegedly attacked and fatally beaten.
