President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Jabalpur on June 20, with the district administration and police finalizing preparations for her arrival. Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh has been reviewing the arrangements, while officials have been overseeing logistics and security measures ahead of the visit. President expected to spend around 18 hours in the city District Collector Raghvendra Singh said the President is expected to arrive in Jabalpur at around 6 PM on June 20 and remain in the city for approximately 18 hours. During her stay, she will participate in two major public events. Authorities said all arrangements are being made in accordance with the prescribed security protocols and the official “Blue Book” guidelines for presidential visits. Final rehearsal scheduled before arrival A full-scale rehearsal is planned for the afternoon of June 20 ahead of the President’s arrival. The administration has assigned responsibilities to various departments, including police and civic authorities, and special security measures have been put in place. To participate in International Yoga day celebrations On June 21, President Murmu will attend the main International Yoga Day programme at Garrison Ground in Jabalpur. A large gathering is expected to participate in the event, which forms part of the nationwide observance of Yoga Day. Convocation ceremony at Rani Durgavati University Following the Yoga Day programme, the President will attend the convocation ceremony at Rani Durgavati University, where degrees will be conferred upon graduating students. Governor, Chief Minister and other dignitaries expected to attend The convocation ceremony is expected to be attended by Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, Vice-Chancellor Professor Rajesh Kumar Verma, and several other dignitaries. President’s daughter may accompany her According to administrative sources, the President’s younger daughter is also expected to accompany her during the visit. However, officials said her participation has not yet been confirmed in the official programme. After completing the scheduled engagements, President Murmu is expected to depart for New Delhi later the same day.
