Sooryavanshi said, “I have practised a lot with red-ball, and I do, and for my state I have played a lot of red-ball, and I do play a lot.” “I want to play red-ball, because I practise red-ball. In T20, I bat like this because it’s needed in this format. I will change my batting according to the requirements of the formats, whether it is Test or ODI. My dream is to play all three formats, God knows the rest,” he added further. ‘Want to dominate for 10-20 years’: Sooryavanshi shares future goal After winning the Orange cap in the IPL 2026 season with 776 runs, the 15-year-old shared his future goals in the field of cricket. He said, “I have thought that when I play cricket, for the next 10-20 years, no matter how many days I play, as long as God gives me a chance to play, for the country, for a franchise, for a team, I should play in such a way that when people watch or think about matches, they should say that there was a player who used to play and finish the match alone.” He further added, “That dominance should be seen, because I am working hard for that. Not just playing and the game is over, I should play in such a way that I should not just play, but dominate for 10-20 years, and play good cricket, because I started to enjoy cricket, so that I enjoy my lifetime and play well.” ‘Big fan of Virat Kohli’: Vaibhav admits his love for ‘King’ Kohli While speaking about his goals and desires, he admitted that he is a big fan of Virat Kohli, and earlier, he was a fan of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as well. Vaibhav said, “Honestly, when Virat Kohli put his hands on my shoulder, when he was talking to me, I felt like I was in a dream. The way he spoke, it did not feel like it was Virat Kohli, but like an elder brother, the way he explained what I was doing right, what I should do well, what I should focus on, where I should focus on and what I should do in the future.” Earlier, Virat said, “Yaha se upar jana hai. Jo huya hai woh achi mehnat aur belief ke wajah se huya. Kaun kya bol raha hai, kaise bol raha hai… (From here, you only go higher. Whatever has happened is because of your hard work and belief. Doesn’t matter what people say or how they say it).” The RCB legend then summarised his advice with the iconic ‘Bihari sab pe bhari’ remark that is linked to the people of Bihar in terms of genius-level prowess in any domain.
