A three-year-old boy was injured after a stray dog attacked him in Pandhurna district. The child, identified as Varshank Choudhary, suffered bite injuries to his face, leaving seven tooth marks on his cheek and a wound approximately one inch long. The incident took place at around 3 p.m. on Tuesday in Junewani village. Child describes attack in hospital While receiving treatment at a hospital, the young boy described the incident to doctors in his childlike speech. A video of the interaction has also surfaced. In the video, Varshank says he was playing in the courtyard of his house when a dog suddenly approached him. “It knocked me down,” the child said while explaining how the attack happened. When asked what he did in response, the boy looked towards his father, Nandlal Choudhary, and replied that he had been told not to hit the dog. “He told me not to beat it, only to chase it away,” the child said. Hearing the boy’s cries, family members rushed to the spot and drove the dog away. The child was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors administered anti-rabies injections and provided medical treatment for his injuries. Villagers say dog had already attacked livestock Nandlal claimed that the same dog had attacked four livestock animals in the village three days earlier. He said complaints had been made to the village sarpanch (elected head of the village council) and secretary, but no action was taken.
