In Shujalpur of Shajapur district, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched a sharp attack on Congress state president Jitu Patwari. Responding to Patwari calling him ‘Mohan Lal Abhinandan Yadav’, the CM retorted, “Yes, we are Abhinandan Lal, and you are ‘Tapori Lal’.” The Chief Minister said development is progressing in the state, but Congress continues to oppose it. Targeting Jitu Patwari, he said he had never seen such a state president under whose leadership the party’s Lok Sabha candidate from Indore reportedly withdrew from the election race. ‘Congress is struggling to even find candidates’ CM Yadav further said Congress is struggling to even find candidates. He added that a leader who could not retain his own Assembly seat and lost by 40,000 votes is now heading the state Congress. He said Congress is facing the consequences of its actions and its public support is shrinking. Congress workers are holding protests at multiple locations across the city against the CM’s remarks. Jitu Patwari said- You abused me Reacting on social media, Jitu Patwari said the Chief Minister called him “raddi” (worthless), “do kaudi ka” (worthless) and used abusive language. He questioned whether this reflected how the CM views farmers’ sons as well. He also said that even leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee had lost elections, questioning whether similar words would be used for them too. Kamal Nath criticises BJP government Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath said the Chief Minister should not forget dignity in public speech. He called the remarks against Congress leadership inappropriate and malicious. He also accused BJP governments of being associated with scams such as Vyapam and nursing scams instead of focusing on medical colleges. In Ashta, Congress workers staged a protest on Saturday evening against the Chief Minister’s remarks. They burnt his effigy in response to his “two-kaudi ka state president” comment made in Shujalpur, further intensifying the political conflict.
