On the other hand, 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi broke Chris Gayle’s 14-year-old record by hitting 72 sixes in a season and became the batter with the most sixes in a single season. PBKS record biggest run chase against DC Punjab Kings (PBKS) achieved the biggest run chase in tournament history against Delhi Capitals (DC). The team scored 265 runs in 18.5 overs. They broke their own record, set while chasing 262 runs against Kolkata in 2024. This season saw the most 200+ scores chased 17 times. Last season it happened 9 times. 6. Sooryavanshi becomes highest run-scorer among uncapped players Vaibhav received the Orange Cap for scoring 776 runs in the season. He became the uncapped batsman with the most runs in a single IPL season. Previously, this record was held by his fellow opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who had scored 625 runs for Rajasthan in 2023. 7. KL Rahul becomes first Indian to score 150 runs in IPL Rahul scored an unbeaten 152 runs off 67 balls against Punjab. This is the highest score by any Indian in IPL. Earlier, this record was in the name of Abhishek Sharma. He had scored 141 runs against Punjab only. Overall, in the highest individual scores in IPL, Chris Gayle (175*) is at the first position and Brendon McCullum (158*) is in second. Rahul’s 152 runs is also the highest score by any Indian in T-20. Earlier, this record was in the name of Tilak Varma, who scored 151 runs against Meghalaya at Rajkot ground in the Indian domestic tournament, Syed Mushtaq Ali in 2024.
