Key routes around Motera to remain closed till 2 AM In view of the IPL 2026 final, the stretch from Janpath T Junction to the main gate of Narendra Modi Stadium via Krupa Residency and Motera Village Road will remain closed to vehicular traffic from 11 AM on Sunday until 2 AM on Monday. Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes via Tapovan Circle, Visat, Janpath, Power House, Prabodh Raval Circle, and the Bhat-Koteshwar Road corridor connecting Krupa Residency to Apollo Circle. Over 3,000 police personnel deployed for IPL final security Extensive security arrangements have been put in place for the IPL 2026 final, with Gujarat Police deploying 3,043 personnel, including senior officers such as IGPs, DCPs and Police Inspectors, around Narendra Modi Stadium and key routes across Ahmedabad. Free shuttle service arranged from remote parking zones To facilitate smooth movement of spectators, parking facilities have been set up at locations ranging from 300 metres to nearly two kilometres from the gates of Narendra Modi Stadium. ‘Show My Parking’ has also arranged complimentary shuttle services to transport fans between the stadium and designated parking zones, including locations such as ONGC Circle and Railway Ground. In addition, two dedicated VIP parking zones have been earmarked near the stadium for authorised vehicles. Three backup parking facilities available near the stadium To accommodate the large influx of spectators, three backup parking locations have been designated near Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera. The nearest option is AMC’s Free Plot-1 near ONGC Circle, approximately 1.3 km from the venue, with space for 40 cars and 500 two-wheelers. In addition, two paid private parking facilities have been arranged, one near the Indian Petrol Pump, around 2 km from the stadium, with capacity for 300 cars, and another near Matrushri Party Plot, about 2.4 km away, which can accommodate up to 500 cars. Motera Main Parking has been designated opposite Gate No. 1 of Narendra Modi Stadium, providing a convenient parking facility for spectators arriving by private vehicles. 16 additional BRTS buses deployed for IPL final Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited (AJL) has made special transport arrangements for the IPL 2026 final to ensure smooth travel for cricket fans. A total of 52 BRTS buses will be operated on match day, including 16 additional buses over and above the regular fleet of 36 buses. The enhanced services will continue until the conclusion of the match. AJL has also deployed dedicated personnel around Narendra Modi Stadium to assist with traffic regulation and crowd management, ensuring seamless movement of passengers before and after the game.
