In Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh, severed remains of a cow were discovered, triggering tension in the Civic Center area of the city. Activists from Hindu organisations sat on the road, blocking traffic while holding what they claimed were remains of Gau Mata. They staged a protest demanding strict action. Protester Gani Shaktawat said they were initially informed that only partial remains had been found, but after reaching the spot, they discovered what appeared to be nearly half of the animal’s body placed in a police vehicle. He also alleged that this was the second such incident in Ratlam. He further claimed that authorities often pacify the situation with assurances but fail to take concrete action. He added that cow protection workers are facing continuous threats, and despite filing complaints at police stations, no action has been taken. Shaktawat stated that until all remains are recovered, the protest will continue. Following the incident, police and administrative officials rushed to the spot. Several officers, including SDM Archi Harit, were involved in managing the situation. Veterinary doctors were also called to examine the remains and confirm the nature of the case.
