After 36 deaths linked to contaminated water in Bhagirathpura, concerns over water purity have surfaced once again after a fresh water testing report. In February, the Congress collected 240 water samples over 26 days from five urban Assembly constituencies, along with the Mhow and Rau areas. The samples were tested at a laboratory in Delhi. According to the report, which recently arrived, several impurities and disease-causing bacteria are still present in the water. However, the Municipal Corporation has completely rejected the findings. Congress has claimed that 98% of the 240 samples failed the quality test. The report allegedly found sewage contamination, harmful bacteria and heavy metals in tap water supplied to residents in many areas. The samples were collected between February 3 and February 28 and later sent to a Delhi laboratory for examination. A detailed 259-page investigation report has now been submitted. The investigation report runs into 259 pages and is based on water samples collected between 6 AM and 8 PM during February. The issue has gained attention after 36 people lost their lives due to contaminated water in Bhagirathpura. This is proof of 80% corruption: Congress State Congress President Jitu Patwari said that during this investigation, municipal employees and BJP members threatened our people. They will give this report to all MLAs, MPs, the Mayor, and the Municipal Commissioner of the city. They will go to the homes where samples were taken and provide the report. The Bhagirathpura incident was a political crime. Either people will die from drinking water in the city, or they will be killed by thirst. This is an 80 percent corrupt government. No contaminated water is supplied anywhere in the city No contaminated water is being supplied anywhere now. Only clean water is being supplied. Even the tankers that Congress councilors are sending to their areas are being supplied water by the corporation itself. – Pushyamitra Bhargava, Mayor Sampling has a scientific process There is a scientific process for taking samples. I cannot say anything without seeing the report.-Kshitij Singhal, Municipal Commissioner Bhaskar Expert – Dr. VP Pandey, Former Dean MGM Medical College People with low immunity are attacked first The most severe effect of contaminated water can be on children, the elderly, and people who are already sick with low immunity. For people who already have kidney, liver, heart, blood pressure, or diabetes problems, contaminated water can make the situation even more dangerous. Due to weak immunity, the body is quickly affected by bacteria and heavy metals. Water contaminated with bacteria like E-coli and Coliform can rapidly increase diseases like diarrhea, vomiting, typhoid, and dysentery in the elderly. The situation can be more serious in patients with high BP, heart patients, and neurological problems.
