Indore couple found dead at home:Suicide note cites wife’s affair; police suspect murder followed by suicide after poison consumption claim

In Indore’s Meghdoot Nagar, the bodies of a couple were found on Sunday morning. Neighbors arrived after hearing the crying of their daughter. The house was locked from inside. They called the police, and when the door was broken open, both bodies were found lying there. A suicide note was also found at the scene. According to Heera Nagar police station in-charge Sushil Patel, the incident occurred around 6:30 AM. The deceased have been identified as Halke Veer Patel and his wife Roshni. Initial investigation has revealed that there was an ongoing dispute between the husband and wife regarding the wife’s love affair. Suicide note stated – Both are taking poison to end their lives The suicide note states that his wife betrayed him. She had a relationship with Satish Sahu. Both are taking their lives by consuming poison for this reason. It also mentions entrusting the responsibility of their daughter to his sister-in-law and giving the property to the daughter when she turns 18 years old. The note also alleges that Satish Sahu called him to Pithampur and beat him up, and his parents were also supporting him. He has demanded that strict action be taken against Satish after his death. TI said- Injury marks found on wife’s neck According to TI Sushil Patel, the suicide note mentions both consuming poison, but injury marks have been found on wife Roshni’s neck. There is suspicion that she was murdered by strangulation. For now, the police have seized both their mobiles and started the investigation. Police broke down the door and found bodies inside According to police, the couple has a small daughter. On Sunday morning, she was crying continuously. When neighbors became suspicious, they informed the police. Police arrived at the scene and broke down the door to enter, where both were found dead. Halke Veer Patel worked at a pesticide company in Pithampur. The family is said to be originally from Hoshangabad. Police investigation has revealed that the woman had a romantic relationship with Satish Sahu, a resident of Pithampur. Halke Veer had come to know about this. On Saturday, he had gone to talk to Satish along with a relative. The very next day, this incident came to light. Sent message before death; family has alleged assault The deceased’s brother Shivnarayan said that Halke had been living in Indore for 10 years and the family had no knowledge of any dispute between husband and wife. According to relatives, Halke, his younger sister Rani and brother-in-law Satendra had gone to Satish Sahu’s house to persuade him to stop talking to Roshni. It is alleged that Satish’s relatives beat them there with sticks and kicks and punches. Despite calling Dial-112, no help was received. Nephew Lalit said that Halke’s message had come around 3:30 at night, which was seen in the morning. It read – reach the police station tomorrow and break the gate and take it away. In the morning, upon reaching home, the door was broken, where both were found dead. Relatives say that Satish is already married and was living on rent in the same building where Rani lives.
