A cement-laden bulker overturned after crashing into a mango tree in Rewa and caught fire, leaving the driver trapped inside the cabin and burned alive. The accident took place late Friday night near Gahri Pakra village on the Rewa-Sidhi Road. According to police, the bulker (MP19 HA 6094) was travelling from Barigwan to the Birla Plant in Satna. Around 2 am, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, leading to the crash. Eyewitnesses said the bulker was engulfed in flames immediately after overturning, giving the driver no chance to escape. He died on the spot. In the initial investigation, the driver has been identified as 36-year-old Brijesh Gautam, a resident of Satohari Dhanha village in Sidhi district. Due to the accident, traffic on the Rewa-Sidhi Road was also affected for some time. The body has been sent to the hospital for a post-mortem. The police have suspected that the accident might have occurred due to the driver dozing off.
