from-modelling-assignments-to-corporate-sector-success:twisha-sharma’s-death-sparks-allegations-against-husband-and-retired-judge’s-family

Fresh revelations are emerging each day in the high-profile, suspicious suicide case of Twisha Sharma in Bhopal. Until now, Twisha was largely known as the daughter-in-law of a retired judge and the wife of an advocate. However, another side of her life has now come to light. Twisha had carved out an independent identity in the world of glamour and modelling. She had worked as the face of several multinational brands, acted in Telugu films and even won the title of Miss Pune. Despite her glamorous career and growing recognition, her life ended under tragic circumstances. In the suicide case reported from Bagmugalia Extension in Bhopal, Twisha’s family has refused to accept her body for cremation even eight days after her death. Meanwhile, allegations made by former judge Giribala Singh describing Twisha as a drug addict have triggered outrage from her maternal family, who termed the remarks an attempt to malign the deceased’s character. She also played lead roles in two Telugu films. However, after failing to achieve the success she expected in acting, she pursued an MBA degree and later entered the corporate sector. During her nearly two-year stint in the corporate world, she came in contact with Samarth Singh, a resident of Bagmugalia Extension, through a matrimonial website. The two grew close and got married in December 2025. According to the family, within months of the marriage, her life became engulfed in disputes and mental stress. Body still awaiting final rites Twisha’s body remains preserved as the family continues to demand justice. After a dowry death case was registered, former judge Giribala Singh reportedly secured bail within 24 hours, while the main accused, Samarth Singh, remains absconding. Police have announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for information leading to his arrest, and six teams have been deployed to trace him. Father alleges daughter was assaulted during honeymoon Twisha’s father, Navnidhi Sharma, alleged that Samarth Singh’s behaviour had been troubling since the honeymoon itself. “He had a criminal mindset from the beginning. At Bhopal airport, while leaving for the honeymoon, he pushed my daughter. We thought things would improve later. Even when our daughter informed us about such incidents, we did not take action. That was our mistake. We kept tolerating and ignoring everything,” he said. The grieving father further alleged that the retired judge was violating the law by publicly making defamatory remarks about his deceased daughter before the media. “She is currently out on anticipatory bail and is violating the conditions of that bail. Now the time has come to get justice for our daughter. So many days have passed since her death, yet her body is still waiting for a second postmortem examination. This delay now appears deliberate,” he alleged. He further claimed that there were attempts to tamper with evidence after anticipatory bail was granted. Brother questions delay in FIR and accuses family of threats Twisha’s brother, Harshit Sharma, alleged that it took more than three days for the family to get an FIR registered. “Our FIR was finally registered at 2:30 am on May 15. Even before that, their anticipatory bail plea had already been filed. This all appears to be a well-planned conspiracy,” he claimed. He further alleged that people were being sent to threaten the family. “A 63-year-old woman threatening a 61-year-old man by saying 30 people will beat him up — how can that be justified?” he asked. Harshit also questioned why attention was not being focused on Samarth Singh’s whereabouts. “Who gave them the right to make such comments about my deceased sister? Why are we not asking where Samarth Singh is? Why is he absconding? Why is no one demanding a second postmortem examination?” he said. Sister raises questions over CCTV footage Twisha’s sister, Naina, also raised doubts over the viral CCTV footage from Giribala Singh’s residence. According to her, Twisha appeared calm while going towards the terrace and was carrying headphones in her hand. “The place where she allegedly hanged herself also has a gym setup. She appeared to be going there for exercise,” Naina claimed. She further alleged that the footage only showed Twisha going upstairs, while another clip showed Samarth Singh allegedly giving CPR to her on the staircase. “That CPR appears to be merely a show. If they were truly concerned, why did they not take her to a nearby private hospital? Why were the visuals of everything that happened in between never released?” she questioned. Giribala Singh says family is being humiliated Responding to the allegations, Giribala Singh said her family had dedicated itself to serving the nation. “One of my sons is a Wing Commander and another is a criminal lawyer. My husband was martyred while serving the country. A martyr’s widow is now being humiliated,” she said.
