A 22-year-old DJ operator, Kapil Pyasi, was stabbed to death near Teen Patti Chowk in Jabalpur. CCTV footage of the incident has now surfaced, and police have arrested the accused within 48 hours of the murder. The arrested accused are scheduled to be produced before the court on Monday. Dispute began during party after wedding season According to police, DJ operators and tent business owners had organised a party after the conclusion of the wedding season. Kapil Pyasi, his brother Atul Pyasi and several local businessmen attended the gathering. Tent businessmen Ankush Sondhiya and Nihal Sondhiya were also present at the party. Police said that after consuming alcohol, guests were dancing when Ankush allegedly pushed Kapil accidentally. The incident soon escalated into an argument involving verbal abuse and physical assault between the two sides. People present at the venue intervened and temporarily settled the matter. See the entire incident in 5 pictures Accused allegedly followed brothers while returning home After the party ended, Kapil and his brother Atul were returning home when Ankush, Nihal and their associates allegedly followed them to Teen Patti Chowk and stopped them on the road. Another argument reportedly broke out between the groups. As the dispute intensified, the accused allegedly surrounded Kapil and repeatedly attacked him with knives. When Atul attempted to rescue his brother, he was also assaulted by the attackers. Kapil sustained critical injuries in the attack. Victim worked in transport and DJ business Atul informed the police after the assault. A team from Madan Mahal police station reached the spot and rushed Kapil to the Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police said Kapil worked in the transport sector and also managed vehicles used in DJ operations along with his brother Atul. He had reportedly attended the party with his brother on the day of the incident. Three accused, including minor, arrested Police said four to five people were involved in the murder. So far, Ankush Sondhiya, Nihal Sondhiya and a minor accused have been arrested. Madan Mahal police station in-charge Dheeraj Raj said efforts are underway to identify and arrest the remaining accused using CCTV footage and other evidence. According to police, the murder was triggered by the altercation and verbal abuse that took place during the party.
