Six days after the incident, Twisha’s family has still refused to accept her body. The family remains angry over the bail granted to Giribala Singh and continues to demand justice. The controversy took a new turn after portions of Giribala Singh’s bail plea submitted in the district court surfaced publicly. In the application, Giribala Singh alleged that Twisha Sharma was addicted to drugs. She claimed before the court that Twisha would experience trembling in her hands and become irritable whenever she was unable to access narcotic substances. Twisha’s family demands second postmortem Twisha’s family has alleged that the investigation is not being conducted impartially. They accused police of negligence in arresting Samarth Sharma, who has reportedly been absconding since the incident. The family has demanded that the case be investigated by a police agency from outside Madhya Pradesh and has also sought a second postmortem examination at AIIMS New Delhi. Family members alleged that when they visited Katara Hills police station, the station in-charge and other police personnel did not speak to them properly. They have also appealed to the Chief Minister for action against the police officials involved. Family says Twisha appeared disturbed before death According to Twisha’s relatives, she appeared mentally distressed before the incident and had expressed emotional discomfort during phone conversations.
