Ruturaj Gaikwad, Jamie Overton recreate hilarious Pakistan catch drop:KL Rahul’s 0.24-second stumping, Noor Ahmad drops sitter

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated the Delhi Capitals (DC) by eight wickets in match 48 of IPL 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on 5 May. This incident happened in the 19th over when Sameer Rizvi got a leading edge to a Jamie Overton delivery and ballooned up in the air. Overton seemed to attempt the catch but eventually pulled out. Gaikwad, who was nearby, was also left confused, with Overton initially going for the catch. He did not attempt the catch either and the chance went begging. 2) Akeal Hosein brings out mask celebration Akeal Hosein performed his mask celebration after dismissing KL Rahul in the first innings of this match. On the first ball of the sixth over, Ruturaj Gaikwad caught KL Rahul off Akil Hosein’s bowling. He kissed the ball after taking the catch. On the other hand, bowler Hosein celebrated Rahul’s wicket with a mask celebration. On a flighted ball outside off-stump, Rahul stepped forward to play a shot over covers. However, the ball stopped on the pitch and the timing was disrupted. The ball went up in the air, where Ruturaj Gaikwad took an easy catch.
