In Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh, Manish Mali (22) was kidnapped from his home and strangled to death in Ujjain. The accused had consumed a lot of alcohol before the murder. They took him about 90 kilometres away from his home, killed him, and then locked the house and fled. Meanwhile, on the third day of the murder, a tense situation arose in Vikramgarh, Alot. On Sunday, the family members blocked the road by placing the body on the Vikramgarh railway crossing road. The accused vandalised the house and then set it on fire. The administration took action by demolishing the illegal parts of the houses of two accused using a JCB. However, after this action, the crowd became even more agitated. One and a half year old enmity became the reason for the murder A nearly one and a half year old enmity is said to be behind this murder. A youth from the accused’s side had a dispute with the deceased’s aunt’s son over a girl. Due to this, a quarrel broke out between both parties at the wedding ceremony. About three months ago, there was also an altercation between both parties. According to the police, the murder was committed due to this old enmity. Forcibly taken in a car, then murdered According to the family, the accused kidnapped Manish from his home around 10:30 PM on Friday night. Three people forcibly took him away in a car. On Saturday afternoon, the police were informed, after which a case of kidnapping was registered based on the father’s statement. Police investigation revealed that a murder was committed in Ujjain The deceased’s father, Dinesh Mali, suspected Mayank alias Mahendra Mali, Ritesh Mali, and Nilesh Mali. The police took all three into custody and interrogated them, which revealed that Mayank, along with his associates Ritesh, Nilesh, Yash, and Muzaffar, first drank alcohol. After this, Mayank, Ritesh, and Nilesh forcibly took Manish from his house and reached Ujjain. Dispute during a liquor party, strangled to death All the accused reached Mayank’s house in Ujjain, where they drank alcohol again. During this, a dispute arose over an old rivalry. In a fit of rage, Manish was strangled to death. After the incident, the accused locked the house and fled. The police station is surrounded, attempt is made to break through the gate Upon learning of the murder, the family members and villagers became enraged. A large number of people surrounded the Alot police station at night. They even tried to break the channel gate of the police station to get out the accused, who the police had taken into custody. Five accused arrested, investigation ongoing According to Alot Police Station in-charge Munindra Gautam, five accused have been arrested. Among them, the main accused are Yash, Mayank, and Muzaffar, while Ritesh and Nilesh Mali are also included. The illegal parts of the accused’s houses were demolished by the revenue team. Further legal action will be taken based on whatever facts come to light.
