Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor (IPEC) on Sunday. With this program organized in village Nainod, work on the first phase of the project will now be able to begin. Here, the CM also handed over allotment letters for developed plots to farmers and landowners. Along with him, Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Minister Tulsiram Silawat, MP Shankar Lalwani, MLA Madhu Verma, and other BJP leaders were also present. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said in his address that this corridor will give a new direction to Madhya Pradesh’s industrial progress and play a significant role in establishing Indore as an international industrial hub. He described it as one of the state’s most important development projects. The CM and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will address a press conference at the Grand Sheraton Hotel. Here, Agriculture Minister Chouhan will share important information regarding the upcoming meeting of agriculture ministers of BRICS countries, to be held in Indore, with media colleagues. Main Gate of Event Venue Collapsed Before CM’s Arrival Earlier, a major accident was averted before the CM reached the event venue. The main gate installed at the Bhoomipujan site suddenly collapsed, causing chaos at the spot. Following this, officials present there immediately had the gate re-erected at the same spot with the help of a crane. It should be noted that this project reflects the government’s strategy to advance infrastructure, industry, and urban development in the state in an integrated manner. Subsequently, CM Yadav will hold a press conference at 5 PM after the agriculture-related meeting being held at the Sheraton Hotel. Project realized with the consent of farmers The Chief Minister stated that this project had been pending for a long time because the consent of farmers could not be obtained for land acquisition. Later, after the compensation amount was increased from 50% to 70%, most farmers gave their consent, allowing this project to finally take shape. Corridor will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities Many modern facilities will be developed in the proposed corridor, including an underground service corridor, future metro line, multi-logistics hub, direct connectivity to auto clusters, special zones for IT and Fintech sectors, greenfield industrial areas, data centers and semiconductor units, hotels and business zones. Huge Investment and Employment Opportunities The Chief Minister stated that the project has the potential for an investment of approximately 20,000 crore rupees, which will create about 1 lakh employment opportunities. Currently, Indore’s GDP is approximately 1.25 lakh crore, which could reach 2.70 lakh crore in the coming time. Fintech City will also be developed He also informed that a Fintech City will be developed in Indore on the lines of Gujarat, which will open new opportunities for investment and innovation. Describing this project as the path to Indore’s future, the Chief Minister said that this is not just a corridor, but a big step that will determine the direction of the city’s economic and industrial development. Will connect Super Corridor to Pithampur Investment Region This corridor will connect the Super Corridor, located near Indore Airport, to the Pithampur Investment Region. It is being developed as a well-organized industrial axis, which will provide better connectivity to industrial units. Additionally, access to logistics, transport, and markets will become more convenient and effective. Through the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor, integrated connectivity will be provided to the Pithampur Investment Region, logistics hubs, textile, and manufacturing units. This will improve the production and distribution system and simplify the operational process for industries. This ambitious project will not only strengthen the industrial clusters of the Indore region but also play a significant role in establishing Madhya Pradesh as an ideal investment destination. Additionally, it is expected to increase investment flow and create new employment opportunities in the state. Project Features
