In Harda, farmers launched the “Ghera Dalo, Dera Dalo Kisan Kranti Andolan” on Tuesday, braving 43°C heat, over a 16-point list of demands. Due to problems in the procurement of wheat and moong, farmers from Harda, Dewas, Narmadapuram, and Khandwa districts are gathering in large numbers at the agricultural mandi with their tractors. Considering the situation, the collectorate–mandi area has been turned into a cantonment. Around 1,100 personnel from 5 battalions have been deployed. Trolleys turned into tents; brought bedding along Regarding the protest, farmer leader Sunil Golya said that farmers have brought flour, pulses, and other food items in their trolleys from home. They will cook and eat dal-baati at the mandi and other places. Farmer leaders Nankaram Beniwal and Rajendra Patel said that farmers have converted their trolleys into tents. They have also brought bedding with them. If the administration does not concede to their demands, the protest could become indefinite.
